Sweat Your Way to a Slimmer Physique at Mind the Mat

If you think of yoga as a cool-down, not a workout in itself, then you've probably never been to one of the yoga classes at Mind the Mat. The sweat sessions challenge even the fittest students due in part to their quick pace, and in part to the sweltering heat that fills the room, up to 95 degrees. With a mix of Pilates classes, too, Mind the Mat offers intense fitness routines for everyone.

If you already have some yoga experience under your belt, take your practice to the next level at a signature hot flow yoga class. The hour-long session follows a Vinyasa-style series of fast-paced movements, which you perform in a balmy room at around 95 degrees. The heat allows you to sink more deeply into each pose since it helps to loosen up your muscles. The end of class transitions from fast movements to intense stretches. If you're interested in the core-strengthening effects of Pilates, sign up for a HAWT Pilates! class. It puts Pilates on a new plane, adding heat and upbeat tunes to keep pupils engaged and sweating.
