Zoom down a zipline; scale a wide, knotted net; bounce from one suspended platform to the next. Go Ape Zipline & Adventure Park lives up to its name with adventurous obstacles like these, all situated among the treetops in South Run RECenter. It’s only about 20 minutes from your front door, so heading out on an exciting excursion requires very little planning!
Just choose your adventure online—options vary based on the level of thrill you’re seeking—and book a session.
After a brief safety introduction where you’ll learn the basics of your harness and other climbing gear, you’ll get right up into the trees. The obstacles hover as high up as 50 feet, and you’ll have to navigate as many as 70 obstacles to get to the end of the course—a thrilling 320-foot zipline. That’s if you choose the typical Treetop Adventure. For a more gentle introduction to the treetop park, the Treetop Journey is briefer and closer to the ground (the highest platform is a mere 27 feet), so it’s a good option for newbies.
