Now open near The Frasier, Bagel Uprising serves small batch, boiled-then-baked bagels in the finest of flavors. After about four years in farmers and artisans markets, the first permanent brick and mortar location opened in Del Ray in September, and often sells out before the close of business in the early afternoon. 

Bagel Uprising keeps it simple with five flavor variations: plain, salt, everything, poppy, and sesame. Add a schmear of cream cheese or sandwich-style toppings and you’re good to go. The other secret? Bagel Uprising has also figured out the perfect size for their crispy-yet-chewy creations. The bagels are substantial, but not a caloric investment that you’ll regret the rest of the day. Each one is simultaneously an indulgence and a dietary staple.
