Why Military Professionals Will Want to Call The Frasier Home

Everyone can appreciate the luxurious amenities at The Frasier – a waterfall in the courtyard, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a resort-style pool, and a great room complete with a billiards table – and if you’re a military professional, you’ll especially love living here. Why? Because it’s smack dab in the middle of one of the best neighborhoods in Virginia. In addition,  if you’re a military professional and you sign a lease at The Frasier, we’ll donate $25 to the Wounded Warrior Project – an organization that helps injured warriors who are living with the effects of a traumatic brain injury.

Check out this guide to discover what makes military life at The Frasier fantastic.

Proximity to Bases in the Area

If you work at a base or government building, you’ll love living at the Frasier. The building is located nearby plenty of bases and federal buildings that make commuting to work a breeze. Fort Belvoir is about 25 minutes away. The Pentagon is just nine minutes by car. Since it’s less than three miles from the apartment building, you could even bike if you feel up to it. Fort Myer is 15 minutes away. The U.S. Army and the Coast Guard also both have offices in Alexandria.

Grocery Shopping

Every military member knows that the best deals on most groceries and other household goods are usually at the military-only Commissaries. Both nearby Fort Myer, Fort Belvoir and Quantico all have commissaries where you can stock up on food and basic supplies for cheap.

Health Care Facilities

When you get sick or just need to go in for a check up, rest assured that the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital and Andrew Rader US Army Health Clinic in Fort Myer are both less than 10 miles away. For a complete list of health facilities in the area, please check out this link.

Recreational Activities

Andrews Air Force base in Maryland and Fort Belvoir in Alexandria are home to two of the best military golf courses in the area, according to Golf Advisor. Andrews offers three 18-hole championship golf courses and an award-winning pro shop. Golfers can tee off at two different championship 18-hole golf courses at Fort Belvoir. The Club House features food and drink so you can enjoy a good meal after a long day golfing. The Golf Club in Fort Belvoir also offers seasonal, specialty events like a South of the Border Mexican buffet and an island-themed Caribbean party.

But golfers aren’t the only ones who can look forward to great workouts. Fort Belvoir also features a bowling alley, a skate park and a community center that hosts yoga classes. Guests can enjoy kickboxing, Pilates, indoor cycling, yoga, step and a variety of weight training classes at the Graves Fitness Center. Visitors also can enjoy water aerobic classes. If you’d prefer to break a sweat outside, Fort Belvoir hosts many fun outdoor activities too. You can enjoy white water rafting, local hikes, strawberry picking, tubing, and wine tasting. If you’re new to the area, these activities might be a great way to meet and bond with other members of the military community.

Discounts

Who doesn’t like saving money? As a military professional living  in Northern Virginia, you’ll appreciate discounts galore. Many businesses offer military discounts. Baseball fans will appreciate discounted Nationals tickets. Military personnel can get discounts on Alexandria, Virginia’s Pacers running shop’s GW Parkway Classic, and the Veterans Day Run races. Be sure to have your military ID on you at all times – you never know when your next great discount will come up.

Ready to enjoy life in an amenity-packed building that’s close to a community that welcomes and supports military personnel? (Not to mention the many military-friendly resources, businesses, and recreational facilities?) Trust us – if you’re in the military, you’ll want to call The Frasier home.
