Hunt for Easter Eggs on the White House Lawn at the Annual Easter Egg Roll 2016

This Easter, make your Easter egg hunt much more exciting by taking it to the President's lawn! The White House Easter Egg Roll 2016 is an annual event that features an egg hunt, a race and storytelling for the little ones. Its rich history even dates all the way back to 1878, when President Rutherford B. Hayes first invited children to the White House lawn for an Easter celebration.

During the Easter Egg Roll on Monday, March 28, families will gather on the South Lawn for an afternoon of egg hunting and the traditional Easter egg roll. People of all ages can participate in fun sporting events and games, and there are even cooking classes for the adults and storytelling with the Easter bunny for little ones. Live musical performances from area musicians will cap off the festivities, and there will be light snacks and refreshments to munch on during the event.
