It was really the neighborhood of Del Ray that inspired the creation of Dolce and Bean. It's co-owners used to frequent Mount Vernon Avenue for happy hour or dinner, daydreaming about owning their own shop along the bustling street. Eventually, they decided to turn that daydream into a reality. Armed with decades of experience in the business and culinary worlds, they opened Dolce and Bean, a family-owned small business.
The dessert boutique specializes in artisan chocolates, classic French macarons, creamy Italian gelato, and an array of freshly baked pastries. If you're looking for a treat for a special someone, come and fill a gift box with truffles, chocolate-covered orange slices, and ganache-filled chocolates. For a taste of something frosty on a warm day, order a few scoops of double chocolate, mango, or bourbon vanilla gelato. In the next few months, you'll also be able to grab a cup of coffee or a crepe at Dolce and Bean as its menu expands.
