Who says tea time has to be a prim and proper experience? Sierra Lashay, CEO of Be Creative Artz, is infusing high tea with an extra splash of fun at Drinks and Dreams: A Paint and Tipsy Tea Experience. Inspired by the wondrous world of Alice in Wonderland, this paint-and-sip experience features spiked tea cups.
It also happens to take place in a beautiful garden tucked away on Decatur Place right in the heart of D.C. The magical surroundings set the stage for an enchanted afternoon of painting led by an experienced artist. The doors open at 3 p.m., which should allow you ample time to grab your first cocktail (one of many, if you like—they’re bottomless) and a few pastries before the painting class kicks off at 3:30 p.m. They’re all freshly baked by master baker and pastry chef Angel Baldwin, who’s also heading up the high tea as the CEO of Event Maverick. All you need to do beforehand is grab your ticket online ($50+) and show up ready to create. Instructor Sierra will lead you through the process of making a masterpiece, providing all of the materials and know-how you need!
