Since the Alexandria Pastry Shop opened its doors 1988, customers have traveled from all around the Beltway to sample the sweets offered by this popular little bakery. Celebrities, foreign dignitaries, and even a sitting president have placed orders here, but for the Lally family (who has owned and operated it since the beginning), the shop's most important customers are regular folk from the surrounding neighborhood — and that includes residents of The Frasier!
Locals talk about ordering cakes from this community institution for their child’s first day of school, then again years later for their graduation day. Stop by on your way to work for a quick breakfast, on your lunch break for a soup and sandwich combo, or over the weekend to discuss custom cake orders for a special event, like a retirement party or baby shower. Regulars especially recommend the quiche, fruit tarts, and the custom wedding cakes!
