Attend the National Cherry Blossom Festival Festivities on April 16

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is one of the most popular events of the year in the D.C. area, and it spans more than one month of activities. If you're planning on visiting the festival this year, you might want to check out the events this Saturday, April 16.

On Saturday, the official National Cherry Blossom Festival parade will feature fun, colorful entertainment for the whole family. Come out to admire the beautiful, decorative floats, gigantic helium balloons, marching bands and more. There will be clowns, horses and antique cars making their way down D.C.'s city streets, as well as military and celebrity appearances. The National Cherry Blossom Festival® All-Star Youth Tap Dance Team and Choir will put on performances for the crowd to enjoy, and there will even be performances from other types of cultural groups.

The the National Cherry Blossom Festival parade will take place rain or shine. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 12 p.m.
